I made this card for a chap called Wayne who I regularly meet when walking my dog. On a couple of occasions recently he has come to my (our!) rescue when other dogs have "set-about" my dog. War-time wedding!

Our neighbours got married on November 11th in war-time style (apparently he is fascinated by the history of the two wars). He was dressed as a world war 2 soldier complete with tin helmet, whilst she wore a 1940's dress. The cake was decorated with poppies,and the invitations looked like ration books. Somehow this seemed the most appropriate card to make for them! Both the stamp and the sentiment are Hobby Art.

I was aksed by my friend's daughter to make this card for her Godmother's 80 th birthday. She specified a gatefold card and wanted a bike with a basket full of flowers on the front (apparently the birthday girl still rides her bike!). I cut the bike from Sweethearts. It is actually a tandem, but cutting it up for the gatefold card enabled me to cut out one of the saddles!

I have been off work this week with sciatica.....incredibly painful, and not easy to find a comfortable position to sit, lie, stand in. Anyhow, I have managed to make just a few cards during my moving from place to place around the house! This one uses a Little Claire stamp which I have layered, and a good old cuttlebug background.

Someone that I work with let slip that it is her birthday on July 4th. I told her about the American custom of eating watermelon and spitting out the seeds, so I just had to make her this card. (She said that she would bring in watermelon on the day, but I said that I thought cream cakes would be better!!)

I cut the watermelons from Doodlecharms, and the greeting is from Zooballoo. I added some doodling just to finish it off. I'm really pleased with the way it looks.....although my husband admired it and said that he liked the three "dog faces"....he didn't have his glasses on!!

A friend of mine asked me to make a card for her grandaughter's 18th birthday. She wanted a number of things on it, including the greeting (which is apparently Happy Birthday in Spanish), a pink cupcake, and the girl's name and date of the birthday. A friend of mine asked me to make a first birthday card with a bear on it. The Christmas cartridge has just the bear!! The font is from the Nursery Rhymes cartridge, and the balloon (so useful!) is from Pooh and Friends. I raised the bear and ballooon on foam pads, and added a little white gel pen for dimension.
