Season's Greetings

I just love the way this sentiment cuts out. It is from Beyond Birthdays. I embossed the background with the cuttlebug snowflake folder. Very simple!

Happy Birthday...from the dog!!

It is my husband's birthday next week, and the dog gave me careful instructions to make this card!!!

The dog is cut from Paper Pups, and the balloon is from Pooh and Friends. I used the cuttlebug birthday folder to emboss the background, and then used a brown inkpad to bring out the detail. The dog thinks it looks ok!!!!

Something a bit different!!!

I was asked to make this for a local funeral director. The person who asked me to make it was insistent that she wanted a coffin and an undertaker on it (and not being one to argue.....!)

The undertaker and the coffin are from Paper Doll Dress Up , the numbers from Plantin Schoolbook, and the greeting is from Beyond Birthdays.

Christmas Bells

I thought that the background paper (by DCWV) was just right for this card. I cut the bells from Stretch your imagination. I welded them together in Design studio, and then cut the handles off. I gave them some shape by raising the centres up with a foam pad and gluing the edges down.

3D floral card

I was inspired to make this by this wonderful blog; http://thefrustratedcrafter.blogspot.com/. it was so easy!! The flowers and leaves are cut from Plantin Schoolbook, and the flourish is from Home Accents. Now I just need to make a box for it to go in...watch this space!!

This is a side view to show the dimension.

Doodlecharms reindeer

I just love this reindeer...he is so easy to assemble, and I especially like cutting him an extra large "Rudolph" nose!!!.I added a little doodling, and the stamp is by Inkadinkado.

Halloween gifts

I couldn't resist buying bars of chocolate to decorate as Halloween gifts for my family. All of the characters are cut from Paper Doll dress Up, and "Boo!" is from Paper Pups. I just love the paper which is from the "Daisy & Dandelion" Halloween pack...too good to eat!!!!!

a gift from Pluto....

This is a birthday card for my mum from our dog...honest!!! I welded Pluto from Mickey and Friends to the parcel from Pooh & Friends. I snipped between his two paws so that one would appear to be in front of the parcel. Hope mum likes it!!

punchcraft card

I went to a fantastic punchcraft class today (thankyou Janet from Japonica!), and this is what I made...I certainly wouldn't say it was easy...it was fiddly and time-consuming, but I'm really pleased with the finished result!!

Santa came by bus

I was inspired to make this when making a card for my friend's car (it's a long story!!). The bus, Santa and the reindeer are cut from Doodlecharms, the gifts are from Christmas Cheer, and the trees are from Zooballoo. I layered it all up on foam pads to give it some dimension, and added some white doodloing (I love my white gel pen !!!)

Happy birthday Mum

This is especially for my Mum as she loves flowers. "Mum" is cut from Beyond Birthdays, and the rest is from Walk in My Garden.

And this is the inside, flower cut from Walk in My Garden, and "mat" from A Child's Year.

Well done car!!!

Yes really!!! This is for my friend Ruth's car because she was so pleased that it passed it's MOT! Ruth never goes anywhere without Belle (her elderly border collie), so of course she had to feature in the card too! The car and the dog are cut from Doodlecharms, and the trees in the background from Zooballoo.

Ho-Ho-Ho & Let it snow

I have really started to enjoy welding the elements of the card toether in Design Studio, and then layering it up with regular cuts. Here, the tree and Santa are from Doodlecharms, and the snowman is from Stretch Your Imagination. All of the lettering is from Plantin Schoolbook. The snowflakes are from Christmas and Speaking of Winter.

Freddy-Joe

A friend asked me to make this. She had no fixed ideas about how it should be, except that she wanted his name and the date of his birthday included. I fiddled around in Design Studio, and came up with this. The name and number are from Plantin Schoolbook, and the cake is from Doodlecharms. I welded all their shadows together in Design Studio, and then cut out the respective shapes and layered them up with foam pads.

Get Well Soon

This is for someone who is due to have an operation later this week. The dog is from Paper Pups, and usualy has a thermometer in it's mouth. I cut that off for this card, as she isn't "that kind iof sick" (if you know what I mean?!). The sentiment is from Beyond Birthdays, and it is all raised up on foam pads to give some dimension.

I think I might write something inside about being back in the pink soon !!!

Inkadinkado deer

Another lovely stamp! So simple to make, I just layered it up on some lovely DCWV paper, and added a bit of ribbon!!

Inkadinkado Angel

I love this stamp. It is embossed with "balck sparkle" embossing powder, on some very ordinary (and cheap!) gold card. The bottom layer of black glossy card was embossed using the snowflakes folder.

A Birthday gift

I was completely inspired by Donna Mundinger's version of this shaped card, which is cut from Pooh and Friends. I added a circular tag cut from A Child's Year, onto which I stamped the sentiment.

Ribbon box

This was made from a wonderful kit by http://www.craftyribbons.com/. They supply the ribbons and the flat-pack box. It is then up to you to assemble and decorate as you wish. I used an Ollyphant stamp, which I then mounted on some really lovely glossy card embossed with holly. A little stickles, and there you have it.

Down on the farm....

More lovely stamps by Ollyfant. I coloured them with watercolour pencils, and then mounted them on tags cut from A Child's Year. I inked around the edge of the tags to add a bit of definition.

let it snow

Having made this card I'm not sure that it was the best choice of colours!! Surely snowy things should be blue & white? ...oh well!!!

The baubles are cut from the Christmas Solutions cartridge, and then layered up on foam pads. The stamps are new ones by "Papermania", and I'm really pleased with them!

Peace...

I love this church from the Christmas Solutions cartridge. The trees are also from there. I cut the frame for the sentiment from A Child's Year. The stamp is a new one from a set by "Inkadinkado". I embossed the snow and the sky on the cuttlebug, and added some stickles. The whole thing is layered up on foam pads for dimension.

A card with dimension

I made this one for a person who is blind. I have stuck several layers of each element together in the hope that she can feel what it is that I want to convey. The sentiment is from Opposites Attract, and the flower is from Home Accents.

In the dog house!

I am so pleased with my new Mickey and Friends cartridge. I welded Pluto to his kennel in Design Studio, and then just layered them up with some foam tape to add dimension. The bone paper is from the lovely "Pet stack" by DCWV.

Shaped snowman

I just love this snowman from "A Child's Year". I welded his shadow in Design Studio, and then cut a non-shadow version from some lovely DCWV patterned paper. The sentiment is a lovely "Inkadinkado" stamp (I love those too!), and I added a few silver snowflakes...I think I might make some more!!!!!

Saturday, 5 September 2009

Snowman from "A Child's Year"

I love this snowman so much!!I embossed him using the swiss dots folder, and cut his shadow in holographic card. The extra snowflakes are cut from Christmas Solutions. I used a small punch to cut out lots of snowflakes around the edges of the patterned paper.

DIY card

This is for the son of my mum's friend. Apparently he is a keen woodworker, so I decided to make a tool cupboard. I used the square from Zooballoo (resized in Design Studio) to make the cupboard, and the hinges are cut from Fabulous Finds.

Hre is the inside of the cupboard. The words / numbers are cut from A Child's Year, and the tools are from a download called the "Nitwit" collection.

Ladybird

The ladybird, and the flowers on the inside of the card are cut from Walk in My Garden. I welded them together in Design Studio with a square and some grass from Zooballoo. It is layered up with some foam pads to add dimension. A little bit of doodling seems to really make things stand out.

Birthday fishes

This is cut from Animal Kingdom, with the addition of a birthday cake from Doodlecharms. I welded the fishbowls together in Design Studio. I used eyelets to look like bubbles, and added some doodling to make it "pop" a bit. It is for my nephew who will be 14 in a couple of weeks, and who has a large fishtank of his own. (Bet his fish don't get birtday cakes though!!)

A multi-purpose card!!

This is for some friends who set off next week to go travelling until January. It covers all the eveents until we see them next. I enjoyed making it, and hopefully they'll think it's fun!!!

The plane is from New Arrival, the witch is from A Child's Year, and the Santa hat is from Joys of the Season. I used my cuttlebug to do some embossing too!!

60

Another shaped card!!

I welded the numbers from Plantin Schoolbook to a square from Zooballoo, using Design Studio. The flowers and stars are also from Plantin Schoolbook.

Where's that cat????

This was a result of much head-shaking and tutting, as I really don't make cat cards!! I'm really not keen on any of the ones on Doodlecharms or Animal Kingdom, so settled for this one from A Child's Year. It seemed to be made to stroll amongst the flowers...which were all cut from Walk in my Garden.

Happy Hannukah

A friend asked me to make this, and I have to confess that I had to seek advice as to what might be suitable. The menorah is cut from Joys of the Season, and the shape it is mounted on is from Wildcard. The background paper is from the lovely DCWV Taj Mahal stack.

Monday, 17 August 2009

Hope your birthday is spot on!!

Another shaped card!! The dog is from Animal Kingdom, and the balloon and parcel are from Pooh & friends. I welded it all together in Design Studio and then added layers.

A gift for Spot....

I just love this dog!! He is cut from Animal Kingdom, welded first in Design Studio to make a shaped card. I added the bone from A Child's Year and couldn't resist tying the ribbon around it!!

November!

This is also for the calendar from the dog!. The dog here is from Animal Kingdom, and his poppy is from Plantin Schoolbook. I welded more poppies in Design Studio. I'm pleased with the way it turned out!
