4th July birthday

Someone that I work with let slip that it is her birthday on July 4th. I told her about the American custom of eating watermelon and spitting out the seeds, so I just had to make her this card. (She said that she would bring in watermelon on the day, but I said that I thought cream cakes would be better!!)
I cut the watermelons from Doodlecharms, and the greeting is from Zooballoo. I added some doodling just to finish it off. I'm really pleased with the way it looks.....although my husband admired it and said that he liked the three "dog faces"....he didn't have his glasses on!!

Having made a card for Jo (see post below), I decided to go on and decorate a mirror with the same animals, I added the grass and vine from Zooballoo.

this lovely little bus is from Doodlecaharms, and I welded it together in Design Studio. The greeting is from Zooballoo. I thought the spotty brads were just perfect for hub caps!!

6th Birthday

Such a simple card...the 6 is from Mickey Font, welded to a square from Zooballo. The stars are cut from Plantin Schoolbook, and raised on foam pads.

A Country Scene

This is for my friend Ruth who loves animals. The cow is from Animal Kingdom, the tree is from Zooballoo, and the rabbit is from Winter Woodland. I embossed the fence to make it look wooden, and raised it on foam pads.

St. George's Day Birthday

This is for someone who has their birthday on St. George's Day. The dragon is from paper Doll Dress Up, and the greeting is from Zooballoo.

Santa came by bus

I was inspired to make this when making a card for my friend's car (it's a long story!!). The bus, Santa and the reindeer are cut from Doodlecharms, the gifts are from Christmas Cheer, and the trees are from Zooballoo. I layered it all up on foam pads to give it some dimension, and added some white doodloing (I love my white gel pen !!!)

Well done car!!!

Yes really!!! This is for my friend Ruth's car because she was so pleased that it passed it's MOT! Ruth never goes anywhere without Belle (her elderly border collie), so of course she had to feature in the card too! The car and the dog are cut from Doodlecharms, and the trees in the background from Zooballoo.

DIY card

This is for the son of my mum's friend. Apparently he is a keen woodworker, so I decided to make a tool cupboard. I used the square from Zooballoo (resized in Design Studio) to make the cupboard, and the hinges are cut from Fabulous Finds.

Hre is the inside of the cupboard. The words / numbers are cut from A Child's Year, and the tools are from a download called the "Nitwit" collection.

Sandcastle

Well...this card took forever...and I'm still not all that pleased with it!! I set out to make a shaped card, but kept cutting it wrong, so I gave up and just made it into a large card. The sandcastle is from Doodlecharms, and the waves and clouds are from Zooballoo. I stamped the frame with some "Hobby Art" rubber stamps, and added some glitter glue to look like froth on the waves.

Good Luck wordbook

I made this for a colleague of mine who is retiring next month. It relates to some funny things that have happened while we have worked together. I welded the letters in Design Studio, from Plantin Schoolbook. The embellishments, are from Animal Kingdom, Paper Doll Dress Up, Zooballoo, and speaking of Winter. I used my Bind-it-All for the very first time to bind it all together. It took ages, but I'm really pleased with it, and I think he'll love it!

I liked it so much that.....

I was so pleased with the 50th card that I made, that I decided to try the same method to make a couple of 40th cards (aiming to make one for a man and one for a woman...but somehow the man's one doesn't look that manly!). Once again they are numbers and embellishments from Plantin Schoolbook, welded to a rectangle from Zooballoo to create that back of the card.

50th birthday

I made this one by welding the numbers from Plantin Schoolbook to a square from Zooballoo. The embellishments are also from Plantin Schoolbook, with a little doodling and inking to make them stand out.

Easter Bunny baskets

My mum showed me how to make these really simple squre baskets (thanks Mum!!). I decorated them with that good old rabbit from Zooballoo (again!) and grass from Zooballoo too. I am going to fill them with chocolate eggs for my nieces and nephews.
