Happy Birthday Eden

A colleague of mine asked me to make a card for her nephew who loves dinosaurs. I cut this one from "Paper Doll Dress Up" and layered it in different colours to give some dimension. A balloon always seems to be a good way to add the age for a young child. I cut this one from "Pooh and Friends".

This is for my father-in-law, who had to go into hospital last week. Inside it says...are all very pleased you are feeling ok!!

The people are from Paper Dolls, the dog is from Paper Pups, and the lettering is from Plantin Schoolbook. Hope he likes it!

Something a bit different!!!

I was asked to make this for a local funeral director. The person who asked me to make it was insistent that she wanted a coffin and an undertaker on it (and not being one to argue.....!)

The undertaker and the coffin are from Paper Doll Dress Up , the numbers from Plantin Schoolbook, and the greeting is from Beyond Birthdays.

Halloween gifts

I couldn't resist buying bars of chocolate to decorate as Halloween gifts for my family. All of the characters are cut from Paper Doll dress Up, and "Boo!" is from Paper Pups. I just love the paper which is from the "Daisy & Dandelion" Halloween pack...too good to eat!!!!!

This is for a colleague who is off to pastures new. The letters are cut from Plantin Schoolbook (welded together in Design Studio). The shamrocks are from Paper Doll Dress Up. I added some doodling with a new white gel pen (which I am really pleased with, because it actually shows up!!)

A gardening retirement!!!

I made this for a colleague who is retiring soon. I used Walk in My Garden, Pooh and Friends, and Paper Doll Dress Up. I really love these cards, and am feeling inspired to make some for Christmas!!

Good Luck wordbook

I made this for a colleague of mine who is retiring next month. It relates to some funny things that have happened while we have worked together. I welded the letters in Design Studio, from Plantin Schoolbook. The embellishments, are from Animal Kingdom, Paper Doll Dress Up, Zooballoo, and speaking of Winter. I used my Bind-it-All for the very first time to bind it all together. It took ages, but I'm really pleased with it, and I think he'll love it!

DAD...the aspiring artist!!!

I made this card for Father's Day. My Dad has always been keen to have a go at painting, and as he and I have signed up for an all-day lesson just before Father's Day, I couldn't resist making him this card!!

Civil Partnership

A friend asked me to make this card for two male friends of hers. She liked the idea of the two grooms, so I just hope the couple it is intended for do as well!! They are both cut from Paper Doll Dress Up, with embossing on the cuttlebug.

daring cardmakers challenge

This week's challenge was to incorporate a fish or frog in the card. i made this one very recently, using the ship from Paper Dolls, and animals/fish from Animal Kingdom and Zooballoo. It is a 3-D card.

And now one for the "Papertake weekly challenge"!

I am a bit disappointed with this...the challenge specified three separate strips of paper down the card, which this is, but doesn't look like it because of my careless choice of paper...oh well. I suppose this is a learning curve!!!

The unicorn was cut from the Paper Doll Dress Up cartridge, outlined with the markers before cutting. The scalloped squraes were cut from zooballo (I use those a lot...so versatile!!).
