Thanks...

Today we received an invitation to a colleague's 60th birthday / retirement party. I made this as an acceptance. The word is from Opposites Attract, and the scalloped border is from Plantin Schoolbook. Now I just have to come up with an idea for the retirement / birthday card!!!

Another of the lovely Clare Curd stamps. I couldn't resist cutting a matching background from Wild Card!

Inspired by Sizzix

I was inspired to make this card by a Sizzix advert!

The flower is cut from Walk in my Garden, and the foligae from Accent Essentials.

Gone Fishing..

This is stamped with one of the lovely new "Claire Curd" men's stamps. I coloured it with watercolour pencils, and added the fish from Wild Card.

I liked it so much that.....

I was so pleased with the 50th card that I made, that I decided to try the same method to make a couple of 40th cards (aiming to make one for a man and one for a woman...but somehow the man's one doesn't look that manly!). Once again they are numbers and embellishments from Plantin Schoolbook, welded to a rectangle from Zooballoo to create that back of the card.

50th birthday

I made this one by welding the numbers from Plantin Schoolbook to a square from Zooballoo. The embellishments are also from Plantin Schoolbook, with a little doodling and inking to make them stand out.

Easter Chicken

This is really the "French Hen" from the "Joys of the Season" Christmas cartridege! I embossed the basket with swiss dots, cut a few eggs from Doodlecharms, and embossed them with the paisley folder.

Easter Bunny baskets

My mum showed me how to make these really simple squre baskets (thanks Mum!!). I decorated them with that good old rabbit from Zooballoo (again!) and grass from Zooballoo too. I am going to fill them with chocolate eggs for my nieces and nephews.

Easter Bunny

I used the box feature on the Zooballoo cartridge, but removed the outer lines in Design Studio, which enabled me to cut it as an aperture in a shop-bought card. The eggs are cut from Doodlecharms.
