Noah's Ark

This Woodware stamp is a new purchase, and it seemed to be crying out to be layered. I have made this as a gift for a friend who is expecting her first baby, and put it in a lovely deep frame from Ikea.  I added the clouds which I cut on my Cricut.

Happy Birthday Auntie Betty!

I used a new Woodware stamp (grasses) to make this card. I was inspired by  this card;

Michael Powell Harbour Master

I just love all of the Michael Powell rubber stamps. This card is for my brother-in-law.

A card for no reason!!

I don't often make cards with no-one in mind, but I had coloured this image, and had a spare 10 minutes to make it into a card. As ever the stamp is a lovely Penny Black!!

Oh no....four oh!

This is for a friend who is going to be 40 soon. I welded the shadow letters from "Plantin Schoolbook" in purple, and then cut the non-shadow in white. Although it is simple, I am pleased with the way it turned out!

Gymnast!

My friend Wendy asked me to make a birthday card for her nephew who is a keen gymnast. I looked at lots of pictures online, and finally felt brave enough to hand draw the body, arms and legs. Then I used my cricut to cut the hoops and hands (Plantin Schoolbook), and the head and hair (Paper Dolls). I am surprisingly pleased with the result!

Happy Birthday Mother....

A colleague at work asked me to make a card for her mother-in-law. Apparently she likes flowers, which  meant that it was a very easy card to make. The flowers and the pot are all cut from the "Walk in my Garden" cartridge.

On Your Special Day!

I have been dying to have a go at making a cascading card and my mother-in-law's birthday seemed like the perfect opportunity! The flowers are stamped from the "Stampin Up" "Bliss" set.

Not special enough!

If you read my earlier posts you will have seen a card with a Golden Retriever on it, which a colleague had asked me to make for her sister. Well......I gave it to her yesterday but she said that it wasn't "special enough" (I only charge £1.50, and I had tried hard, so I did feel a bit sad!). Anyway she wanted "Hi Sue's" put on it, so I took it apart and turned it into this (the camera lies a bit...in reality the letters are the same pink as the other pink parts on the card). I'll be taking it to her tomorrow, so wish me luck!

More Fathers Day Cards.....

One of these is for my husband's step-father, and the other two I will try to sell at work. Sadly my Dad died earlier this year, so as I can't send him a card this year, the next best thing seems to add the other two to those I am selling to raise money for Cancer Research. I know he would approve!
The stamp is by "Funstamps" and is called "Racing Ted.

Have a great day Dad.......

This is a card I have made for my father-in-law for Father'sDay. It uses the lovely Penny Black stamp "Feeding Frenzy" (my Father-in-law loves dogs and has three of his own!). I am entering it in the Penny Black "Masculine" challenge here :

Happy Birthday Sister...

Now.........The colleague who wanted a birthday card for her mother, with a Shih Tzu dog on it also wanted one for her sister, with a Golden retriever dog on it! ( I'm spotting a theme here!) This is what I came up with.......

Happy Birthday Mum....

A colleague asked me to make a special card for her mother who will be 80 and apparently loves Shih Tzu dogs. She was adamant that she didn't want the age putting on it!

First Christmas cards!

Every year I vow that I will start making Christmas cards straight after Christmas....and here we are at the beginning of June, and I have only just started! This is a lovely Hobby Art stamp.

Cascading card....

A colleague asked me to make a card for her niece who will soon be 13. I couldn't resist trying a cascading  card. I cut her name and the sentiment from "A Child'sYear", and the shoes and umbrellas from "Paisley".
