My first Christmas card!!!

And it is still only May! I did, however, vow to make at least one every week this year, and this is my first so far, so I am actually far behind rather than far in front!

Anyhow, this is a lovely stamp by Penny Black. The saclloped border is cut from Plantin Schoolbook, and the scalloped circle from Birthday Bash. The background is embossed with both the snowflakes and the swiss dots designs. On Your Retirement...

I made this card for the "Celebrate the occasion" challenge here http://celebratetheoccasion.blogspot.com/2011/05/challenge-15.html . I used my Gypsy to weld the gardening items (from the Freshly Picked cartridge) to the trellis (from the Wild Card ccartridge). I then layered up the items to give some dimension.

I decided to try a twisted easel card for my Fathers day card this year. The stamps are the Hobby Art hillside set, and I painted them with Brilliance inks used as watercolours. Feliz Cumpleaños

A friend of mine asked me to make a card for her grandaughter's 18th birthday. She wanted a number of things on it, including the greeting (which is apparently Happy Birthday in Spanish), a pink cupcake, and the girl's name and date of the birthday. These seemed to fit well on a tri-shutter card without making it look too clutterd. Again cut from the welded shapes from Storybook. This time the stamp is a new one from Docrafts, and is part of one of the "Tulip" sets. I just love that little dog!!

I made this card for my mother-in-law, and also for two challenges, "stamping for the weekend " at http://stampinfortheweekend.blogspot.com/ and Penny Black at http://pennybfriendssaturdaychallenge.blogspot.com/. I cut the base card with shapes from the storybook cartridge using my Gypsy to weld them together. The stamp is by Penny Black.

A very simple card, but I'm pleased with the way it turned out. I cut the stars and the letters from Plantin Schoolbook.

Happy Silver Wedding....

I made a Ruby Anniversary card for some friends, and lo and behold, they asked me if I could make a silver anniversary card for some friends of theirs! I take that as a compliment!!

Jungle mirror....to match the card.....

Having made a card for Jo (see post below), I decided to go on and decorate a mirror with the same animals, I added the grass and vine from Zooballoo.

Someone that I work with is due to go on maternity leave soon, and as she is having a jungle theme for the nursery I couldn't resisit making this card. The animals are from Everyday Paper Dolls, and the font is from Opposites Attract.
