A colleague asked me to make a card incorporating a bright red campervan and music..this is the result!

Dad.....Fishy Wishes!

This is a card for my father-in-law, using the lovely Woodware "Fishy Wishes" stamp.

A black bicycle and a garden shed!!

More and more people are asking me to make very specific birthday cards. This is for a colleague, who wanted one with a garden shed and a black bike on it! I cut the bike from Sweethearts (a tandem carefully snipped apart and re-glued!), the pots and watering can from Walk in my Garden, and the shed is actually a dog kennel from Nate's ABC!

Good Luck bear

I just love the Funstamps sporting bears, and this one made a super-speedy Good Luck card.

Golfing bear

A colleague asked me to make a birthday card for her father-in-law who is a keen golfer, so this lovely Funstamps bear seemed ideal!

Happy Birthday Papa...

A colleague at work asked me to make a card for her father from her twin daughters. Very specifically, she wanted a blue bike and a black and white cat on it. I cut the bike from Sweethearts...it is actually a tandem, but with a bit of careful trimming and gluing can be made into a regular bike!, and the cat is a Nitwits stamp.

Campervans and canoes

My friend Wendy asked me to make a card for her brother who apparently has aspirations of owning a VW campervan and a Canadian canoe. This stamp from the "hot diggity dog" collection by Docrafts seemed perfect, and I cut the canoe from "Paper Doll Dressup".

Snips 'n' Snails...

My friend Wendy asked me to make a card for her nephew who is soon to. Six. Apparently he is a real tomboy, and the family own a springer spaniel. This Penny Black stamp seemed to be perfect! I coloured the poor upside-down puppy to look like the family's dog, and added a bunch of balloons tied on with Bakers twine.

Welcome Baby Girl

Yesterday was my friend Laura's baby shower, and so I finally got to put up the bunting that I had been making! ( I should add that this is not my house, but my friend Penny's.....mine has never looked so clean and sparkling!) I used a Sizzix die to cut the pennants, and cut the letters from Plantin Schoolbook. The flowers and hearts are from Doodlecharms.

Nappy cake....yes really

Another item for the baby shower! I cut the flowers and hearts from "Doodlecharms"and the baby from "Everyday Paperdolls".

Pearls of Wisdom

My colleague and friend Laura is expecting her first baby in November. We are having a baby shower for her and this is one of the ideas that I found online. Basically you give each of the guests a tag on which to write a "pearl of wisdom" and then you tie them onto the wreath. (My friend Penny says that she is going to write just buy plenty of calpol on her tag!).
I cut the hearts from "Doodlecharms" and the rattles and nappy pins are from "New Arrival". The lettering is cut from Nursery Rhymes.

A word of warning.....read this if you use Pinterest

Not a card this time, just a word of warning about pinning things to PINTEREST. I have to say that I frequently pin things that inspire me to Pinterest....probably things that I have found and loved in your blogs....but yesterday I had an e-mail saying that someone had objected to me pinning one of their card designs, and as such I was in breach of copyright. It went on to say that if I continued to pin things that weren't mine, my account would be terminated. This really upset me, as I enjoy looking around at all your wonderful creations and sharing things that I have loved. I would never claim to have made any of these, indeed Pinterest links the pin back to the website or blog that it came from.

Anyhow, I have done a bit of reading about this, and it seems that pinning anything other than a creation of your own is in fact deemed to be a breach of copyright, and.....the creator could claim compensation from you!! Makes a bit of a mockery of the Pinterest site really, and makes me sad that we can't just all share and enjoy each other's creations, while always crediting them of course to their creator.

I am going to shut down my Pinterest account, and just blog hop in future for inspiration. Please be careful. A stern e-mail from Pinterest is bad enough......you really don't want people claiming compensation from you.

Well Done Tracey

This is for my friend and colleague who won an award for "Partnership Working". The award was presented at a posh ceremony this week, and when asked to say a few words, apparently said that the only thing she had won before was a kitchen tray!!
The stamp is a lovely Penny Black, and I cut the clouds from "Everyday Paper Dolls", and the grass from "Plantin Schoolbook".

21!

This is for my husband's niece who will (amazingly...it only seems like 5 minutes ago that she was 12!) be 21 in a few weeks. I cut the number from Plantin Schoolbook, and added a lovely Penny Black hedgehog!

Wishing you all the very best!

This is a card for a colleague who is retiring, and is known and loved by many, many people. I was asked to make a "giant" card for him as loads of people will want to sign it. This measures 8 inches by 32 inches, so I hope it is big enough! I cut the boats from "New Arrival", and the lettering from "Plantin Schoolbook". No particular reason for the sea scene, just that we live and work in a seaside town.
