With Bunches of love....

The stamp is a new one from Hobby Art, and I thought it went well with the floral paper, which seemed like it should be part of a patchwork...so...I added some fake stitches to add to the effect. I am pleased with the flowers, which I cut at a variety of sizes and layered up. They are from Accent Essentials. Although you can barely see it, they are stuck around a leafy branch, which is from Beyond Birthdays.

Thanks a Bunch!!! now with template

These are the measurements for creating this vase card. The card itself measures 8 x 5.5 inches. Hopefully you can see the other dimensions marked on the card. The dotted lines indicate where it should be scored, and the solid lines (i.e A through B and C to D) are where you need to cut. Basically you need to valley fold the central line (marked as 3.5 inches) and then valley fold the left hand scored line for the vase, mountain fold the central one and valley fold the right hand one. The flowers are cut at 1.5 inches and 2 inches. I stuck them onto hand cut stems, and then glued one to the back of the card, and then two on the inside of the vase front. I added some hand cut green leaves.I then stuck the whole thing into a card measuring 8.25 inches x 6.25 inches. Obviously you can then embellish it as you wish.

I hope you can follow this...it is much easier to do than to put into words!! feel free to leave a message if you get stuck, and I will try to help some more!!

I saw a card similar to this in a book (Paper Pop Up by Dorothy Wood), and decided to have a go. The flowers are cut from Accent Essentials, and the sentiment is from Walk in my Garden. I cut the stems and leaves by hand.

Mother's Day

I was inspired to make this by a picture in a magazine. The daffodils are cut from Walk in My Garden, and placed on a background embossed on the cuttlebug. I welded "mum" in Design Studio from Opposites attract, and cut the frame behind it from Accent Essentials.

Happy Easter

I was inspired to make this card by the instructions on the"Split Coast Stampers " site. The only cricut is the layered flower (from Accent Essentials) which holds the card closed.

wheels within wheels

When I cut these shapes as flowers for an earlier card, it struck me that they looked a bit like engine cogs, so I just had to try it!! I cut their shadows in silver to make it look more like machinery. The shapes are from the Accent Essentials cartridge. I think it would make a good card for a man.

Wishing you well

This is for a friend of mine who is due to have surgery tomorrow. All of the flowers are cut from Accent Essentials, and the paper is by K and Co. I'm pleased with the way it turned out, and it strikes me that if you cut the "flowers" in different colours, they would make great engine cogs...I must try that sometime!!!
