Just for U

This is a new Woodware stamp, (well, new to me, I only bought it a few days ago), and it seemed just the thing to make a card for my brother-in-law. I paper pieced the letters, matted and layered it, and then added a few doodles to match those on the stamp.

100th Birthday

My mum's friend Gladys is going to be 100 on May 12th. She has so many friends that she is having a tea party at a local hotel, and my mum is delighted to be going! I used a new Woodware stamp to make this card for Gladys.

Great Granny...

A colleague asked me to make a card for her two small sons to send to their Great Granny. Apparently she loves flowers and her garden, but isn't "pink and flowery" (if you follow). I used a Woodware stamp to make this, and layered some of the flowers.
Card making has been a bit tricky over the last few days, as we suddenly found ourselves the owner of a 5 month old Springer Spaniel puppy. He is called Charlie but "Chaos" would probably be more fitting! Anyhow I have to wait until he has played and played so much that he has fallen off to sleep before I can get much done!

Happy Anniversary

My friend Laura asked me to make a romantic anniversary card for her husband. I tried hard to make it romantic without being too feminine, but I am not sure that I succeeded! The stamp is a lovely Woodware one.

Been in the wars?

My elderly next-door-neighbour had a fall this week (well, to be more truthful, she was pulled over by her dog which had been startled by a car revving it's engine!) She has injured the tendons in her shoulder, and has her arm in a sling, so this seemed like an appropriate image! The image and sentiments are from Woodware's "Doctors and Nurses" set

Hello.....

A friend of mine has just had a new great-granddaughter, and has asked me to make several cards from various family members. This one is actually from the new baby to her two brothers (who are not much more than babies themselves!). I have used the lovely Woodware Noah's Ark stamp. There are a few more to come for this family, so watch this space!

Noah's Ark

This Woodware stamp is a new purchase, and it seemed to be crying out to be layered. I have made this as a gift for a friend who is expecting her first baby, and put it in a lovely deep frame from Ikea.  I added the clouds which I cut on my Cricut.

Inspired by Francoise Read

I have been fortunate to attend a couple of workshops run by Francoise Read. Not only are her cards lovely, but she is a lovely person too!

I saw a card on her blog here; http://francoisecollection.blogspot.co.uk/2012/09/woodware-design-team-challenge-resist.html?m=0 which inspired me to make these cards with my lovely new Woodware stamp.
