As you leave to.............

Someone that I work with is due to go on maternity leave soon, and as she is having a jungle theme for the nursery I couldn't resisit making this card. The animals are from Everyday Paper Dolls, and the font is from Opposites Attract.

Thanks for the apples

A colleague at work kindly gave me loads of apples from the tree in her garden, and I was inspired to make this card (any excuse really!)

I cut the basket and apples from Pooh & Friends, and the sentiment from Opposites attract.

Perhaps she'll give me some more apples!!

Dog of the Day!!

My friend Ruth took her 16 year old Border Collie to a dog show organised and judged by Martin Clunes yesterday. (He lives near us, and organises a similar event on his land each year to raise money for local charities-this year it was the hospice.) Anyway, Ruth entered Belle in the "Dog of the Day" class, and she came 1st!!! Belle won a silver cup, a pink rosette, and a sack of dog food. Ruth was so happy she cried and made her mascara run!! I made this card for Belle to celebrate her win! The dog and the trophy are cut from Everyday Paper Dolls, the lettering is from Opposites Attract, and the rosette is from Plantin Schoolbook.

UR17

This is for Lauren who will be 17 on the 27th. I used the car cut from Sweethaerts, but left out some of the details....I did add an "L" plate though as she will be starting driving lessons! The lettering is from Opposites Attract.

Bat Mitzvah

A friend asked me to make her a Bat Mitzvah Card (up until then I had only heard of Bar Mitzvah..excuse my ignornace!)

I sought advice, and was told that the Star of David from the Joys of the Season cartridge would be appropriate, and that good colours would be blue and silver. I used Opposites Attract for the lettering, which I welded together in Design Studio. The silver frame is from Stretch your imagination.

A card with dimension

I made this one for a person who is blind. I have stuck several layers of each element together in the hope that she can feel what it is that I want to convey. The sentiment is from Opposites Attract, and the flower is from Home Accents.

Today we received an invitation to a colleague's 60th birthday / retirement party. I made this as an acceptance. The word is from Opposites Attract, and the scalloped border is from Plantin Schoolbook. Now I just have to come up with an idea for the retirement / birthday card!!!

Mother's Day

I was inspired to make this by a picture in a magazine. The daffodils are cut from Walk in My Garden, and placed on a background embossed on the cuttlebug. I welded "mum" in Design Studio from Opposites attract, and cut the frame behind it from Accent Essentials.

Happy Easter

Using the same technique as the thankyou card from Opposites Attract. I welded the word "Easter" in Design Studio, and then welded it's shadow....I can imagine so many uses for this technique...watch this space!!!

I really like this design, and have to confess that it it is the project from the "Opposites attract" manual....I would so like to be clever enough to come up with such lovely designs!!!
